Jawaharlal Nehru Exposed

Few facts which cannot be denied....
dominion, often Dominion,[1] refers to one of a group of autonomous polities that were nominally under British sovereignty, constituting the British Empire and British Commonwealth, beginning in the latter part of the 19th century.[2]They have included (at varying times) Canada,AustraliaNew ZealandNewfoundland, the Union of South Africa, and the Irish Free State. Following 1948, the term "Dominion" has been used to denote those independent nations of the British Commonwealth that shared with the United Kingdom the same person as their respective monarch. These have included (at varying times) PakistanCeylon (Sri Lanka)KenyaJamaica, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, and others. Many of the former British colonies that were granted independence in the decades following World War II were called "Dominions" in their constitutions of independence. In many cases, these countries soon became republics, thus ending their status as Dominions (for example, India, Pakistan, Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria). India became a republic in 1950[35] and Pakistan adopted a republican form of government in 1956. (Courtesy: Wikipedia).

Garbage on road

'Keep your city clean'....a lot of us might have seen this or heard this. If the roads, the city is to be kept clean we need to bring in the basic sense of not throwing garbage on road. Then where can we throw them...I am asking the very government who pledge to work as public servants. I am answering this question...Lack of dustbins on road have compelled people in the country to throw garbage on road.

My experience:
I was on my way from Hrishikesh to Delhi ...I bought an Ice-cream on my way and wanted to throw the wrapper in a dustbin but was unable to find one till I reached Moolchand (a food joint). I carried the wrapper for almost 2 hours and thought of throwing the same on road many a times. But then thinking of the already paralyzed government did my duty by not throwing the wrapper on road.
My suggestion for resolving this issue would always be getting at least 1 dustbin every 2 Kilometers and I think that is not asking for more....We deserve to be served by the government...ain't we paying taxes to you people. I don't know how to get this information transmitted to the government as those illiterate people with fake educational qualifications sit on a respected chair which cannot be reached and even if one tries writing in an email or letter to them, it will be read by an educated peon of the minister's office and knowing the fate of the letter would tear it off (courtesy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6HlUcr_YDA). Please suggest me about what can be done for this as I really think a small contribution from our end to change how the decision makers work can bring a huge revolution within the country....

My Trip to Vaisno Devi, 14th to 17th May 2011

Saturday 14th, May 2011...Udhampur Express...Time: 11:00 PM and a less known Karol Bagh Station, I was pretty excited about the trip. Started with a small jugaad as our seats were scattered in two different coaches we managed to persuade a family to move to the other coach onto our seats and take theirs so that we can enjoy together. Reached Jammu at around 9 AM on Sunday. As we dint have a pantry car in the train we had hard time looking for water and food and hence were hungry. A 'Dhaba' with annoying people working as waiters was our place for relaxing and taking some good food. Completely against my expectations of a good food we got some hard to tear chapatis. Heard from my friend that we get good food in Jammu. Boarded a Bus from Jammu to Katra where we are supposed to start our journey to the Holy Vaisno Devi temple. Because the whether was extremely hot we spent 30 to 40 minutes for the search of an AC bus but to our amazement they don't have one. It took us 2 hours to reach Katra. We had to pay Rs.55 per passenger from Jammu to Katra. They should really learn from DTC and at least get those red AC buses. No complaints though, I was told during the whole journey that one who works hard to reach the god (not literally as I heard that only after death you reach god) is blessed by the god.

We managed to take two rooms in a hotel for two days in a very reasonable rate of Rs.700 each in Katra. We were very tired by now and hence slept for almost an hour. We started our 'पद यात्रा' at around 8 PM with our heavy back packs. Many of us thought why not hire a person who can carry our bags but again we decided in consensus of majority that why spend Rs 370 for this. Those pathans with a height of 6 feet were extremely strong, well built and stamina we can never beat. They were able to carry people on there back and carry them till the top...hats off to these people...

We started walking on the road instead of stairs as my friend Varun told me that we would get tired quickly if we take the stairs. Using stairs one can cover a very long distance in a very small amount of time. The reason for me supporting stairs was also because of the horses and donkeys travelling on the same road in high speed to make some fat people meet the GOD. The other thing which I did not like about the journey till the top was the unnecessary commercialization of the place. No one can beat the natural beauty but I thought as if I was walking in a Market uphills. I am from Arunachal Pradesh and I know how tough it is to walk uphills but it is always soothing to see natural beauty around instead of shops.

After reaching the top the next day at around 1:00 AM we were satisfied with our stamina, but dint realise that the worst part is about to come. We reached Bhairav Baba's Mandir at around 8 AM as it is said that if you want your yatra to be successful you have to visit Bhairav Baba after Vaisno Devi. We then started our journey back to Katra at around 11 AM and scorching sun took our excitement of having visited the Vaisno Devi 'jai mata di'. On the way we had cold drinks, water and some sort of breakfast. My drink was though snatched by a single handed annoying monkey.

We reached Katra at 2 PM every one scattered in groups. Three of us reached the bottom quickly because we chose to literally run down the stairs. We were tired and wanted to sleep.....felt bad for the poor Sun - tanned skin which was at least not in the agenda. Asked the Autowala to take us back to hotel but this time for rs 100 for the same distance which was Rs. 50 while coming and the excuse for asking more money was they cannot take the same route as it is not allowed and have to take a different route on which half the travel would be with the Auto travelling without turning on the engine (its downhill).....Reached the Hotel...took bath and slept ...the best sleep I had for a long time. Evening and we were out shopping in our knickers....bought a lot of prasad to be distributed among family and friends.

One thing I noticed....Everyone in Katra uses 'Jai Mata Di' after almost every sentence, like 'चाय पीयोगे जय माता दी'. Met some weird people but again there were flashes of goodness in many. An experience that can never be forgotten. Next day we were on our route to Amritsar for the Golden Temple which I will talk about later as am running out of time now.........

Idea of Blogging

The very idea of blogging came to mind when I started understanding the importance of sharing and discussing ideas that might change our lives. I would share my own ideas and would appreciate if everyone can discuss on those ideas. Today on one hand wherein we have Baba Ramdev fasting for the blackmoney issue and on the other Anna Hazare fasting for non corrupted India, I still think just by joining these movements (which might be nothing but a political drama) we might not change anything, instead we need to stand up and show unity to the illiterate government that we can change things around.

Just by reading the above lines please dont think that this guy is only going to discuss controversial and political issues (though politics is a synonym to controversy these days). I would share my experience on tours/weekend outings and many more things. Blogging is new for me and I will surely try not be lazy as I am quite excited about the fact that I have internet portal or say platform to share my ideas.
